Here’s what’s going on THIS WEEK AT SOUTHSIDE (6/13/21).

  • Vacation Bible School is upon us! The Sanctuary and some of our Sunday School hallways will look a little different this week as they're being used for VBS. But it'll be a fun Sunday as we celebrate and anticipate all that God will do during Bible School.
  • Please note that Sunday School and AM Worship will be at our normal times, but we will not be having our normal PM worship service because of VBS. Make sure to register your kids, grandkids, cousins' kids, neighbors' kids—everybody's kids!—for VBS. Online registration is still open and available at https://buff.ly/3eDfo31.

SUNDAY MORNING (6/13)

  • Sunday School (9:15am)
    • LADIES: Please note that all of our ladies' Sunday School classes will be meeting for a larger group lesson taught by Ms. Mary Coleman in the Banquet Room. Most of our ladies classes are being used for VBS, so they're not set up like usual for Sunday School.
  • Morning Worship (10:30am)
    • We'll have a special time of commissioning during our AM worship service for all our VBS workers. We want to pray for you and bless you as you commit your next several days to telling kids all about Jesus' love and salvation.

SUNDAY EVENING (6/13)

  • Vacation Bible School begins! (6:00-8:30pm)
    • There will not be a PM worship service this week b/c of VBS.

MONDAY (6/14)

  • Vacation Bible School (6:00-8:30pm)

TUESDAY (6/15)

  • Our FLC will be used all day as a polling place for a local election.
  • Vacation Bible School (6:00-8:30pm)

WEDNESDAY (6/16)

  • Vacation Bible School (6:00-8:30pm)
    • There will not be a midweek worship service in the Sanctuary this week because of VBS.

UPCOMING:

  • We're giving a "Baby Sprinkle" (think of it as a light shower) for Mrs. Brooke Wilcox Taylor and Mr. Clint Taylor to celebrate the arrival of their second son, Sutton Russell Taylor. There is a table set up in our foyer where you can drop off a gift. The table will remain available through THIS Sunday, June 13th.
  • VBS June 13th-16th from 6:30-8:30pm. Online registration open here: https://buff.ly/3eDfo31
  • Church-wide Summer Fellowship (July 11th @ 6pm in FLC)
  • Men's Breakfast (July 24th @ 8am in Banquet Room)
